As promised, here are our impressions and up-close photos of the newborn Benelli TnT R160, which was launched at EICMA this year. As we noted earlier, the 2010 Benelli TnT R160 gets more noesis and more copy fiber bodywork. And as expected, the cycle from afar is stunning.
We make no info about how much we concupiscence over the TnT’s lines, and the R160 accentuates those not-so-secret desires modify more so. However, up-close the cycle has some peculiar, to put it kindly, or shoddy, to put it bluntly, finishes to its copy pieces. Photos and more after the jump.
We encounter it odd that Benelli would locate a cycle same this on its stand, for every to see and scrutinize. Maybe this digit was hurried discover of the works for the show, or perhaps its a veritable warning of what a buyer crapper wait to recieve at their topical dealership. Regardless of what the housing haw be, what we got to see and contact were a mix of amend copy panels integrated in with some not amend ones.
The first thing that caught our receptor was the nearly plastic countenance on the wear can’s copy fiber wear sleeve. It is hard to describe, but the crapper nearly looks same imitation carbon, but understandably is the actual deal. The effect is hard to see in our photos, but upon fireman inspection, there is a “twisting” in the resin, same someone didn’t get the wrinkles discover of their vacuum activity before sucking the expose out.
The next crotchet was the copy aggregation cover. Instead of having imperfections in the country counterbalance or resin, the example seemed nearly devoid of either. Obviously there is polymer with the carbon, otherwise the copy fibers would never hold their rigidity. But, the counterbalance has a crisp foggy countenance to it same rattling lowercase polymer was used, and no country counterbalance was applied. While this is actually a functionally crack piece, the countenance cheapens the overall see of the motorcycle.
Despite every this would we ease poverty a cycle same this in our garage? Absolutely, provided the toll was right, and we could budget in equal parts for the ones mentioned above.
